posted August 26, 2020 Filed Under: Art Classes, News

CLASSES ARE CURRENTLY ON HOLD UNTIL IT IS SAFE TO RESUME.

I hope this message finds your safe, well and motivated to create. I have greatly missed seeing my students and the creative art community.

It is my hope that my art classes will be able to resume when it is safe to do so. If you are interested in classes, please email me and I will put you on a contact list for updates. I generally teach adults Wednesday 7-9:30pm and Thursday 9:30-11:30am, Youth ages 6 and up Tuesdays 4:30-6pm. If you are interested in private classes, feel free to reach out, as I am currently able to teach one on one.

Due to ongoing changes in COVID-19 relaunch strategies, I will be watching and implementing measures to resume classes safely according to Alberta.ca guidance outlines.

Feel free to email me with any questions or comments.

Art Classes – Adult Weekly Classes

posted January 25, 2016 Filed Under: Art Classes, News

Adult Art Class *

Wednesdays 7 – 9:30 pm

Beginners to advanced art students are welcome.

  • Work in art medium of choice
  • Art instruction and guidance
  • Benefit of community-Small group
  • Time for creativity

Students work in their medium of choice.

Art instruction and guidance is provided from where the student is at in their creative journey. The benefit of working in a group is we all learn and are inspired from each other.

Providing a space for artists to come together with like-minded people, to explore and share their love of Art. I believe that artists need to set time aside to nurture the creative voice inside of them. I am blessed to be able to provide this space and share it with those who take time to honor their own creativity.

Intuitive Adult Painting class

Thursdays 9:30 – 11:30 am

No painting experience required

Inviting you to set aside a few hours a week to come explore your creativity and the world of acrylic paint.

Learn the process of Intuitive Acrylic Painting.

  • Learning about Acrylic paint and mediums
  • Techniques of application
  • Color theory
  • Small group class
  • Learn the Process of Painting in a fun, playful way
  • Seeing more accurately
  • Listening to your gut

Through the act of doing, we will learn all the techniques it takes to create a piece of original artwork.

The process of painting is exciting, but at first a little overwhelming and perhaps intimidating. We use play and bravery to begin to unravel visually what is already within us.

I will gently guide you at your own pace; teach you what I have learned over the past 30 some years of painting. Provide a comfort level of how to start, how to survive your first visit to the art store and, most importantly, how to keep going when you feel stuck.
